God is Still Telling Stories

Watching God move and Telling the Story – I have never felt more compelled to do anything in my life.

The story God has been writing since the beginning of time has captivated my heart as long as I can remember.

For others, God’s story has been a recent fascination. Some of you are merely intrigued at this point, wanting to take just a bit of a closer look.

No matter where you are, I want to make a promise to you:

God is still telling stories.

The God of the Old Testament: Of creation, of miraculous floods, parting seas & justice for the oppressed. The God who became incarnated through Jesus: Healing the sick, setting the captives free, confronting the pride of religious leaders.

That very same God is telling stories today: Of provision for those in need, of love for the stranger, of radical community and more!

This is what compels me day in and day out to tell these stories wherever I have a chance. Thank you for the opportunity to tell these stories through this blog by reading these stories as they unfold.

The top stories of the year based on your response are:

The Significance of Thirteen – A story of God’s generosity and radical community.

When Strangers Become Friends – A story of friendship that overcomes fear.

A Twist in the Plot – A story of God providing for the smallest people, whom he loves.

I am committed to continue to “watch God move and tell the story” through this blog in 2014. I know already, before this year even begins that God will move in powerful ways before I even see it happen.

I can’t wait to tell the story!

Friends, thank you for helping this blog reach 6000 hits this year. I would love for the stories to reach double that amount in 2014!

It would mean a lot to me if you were to help spread God’s story this year in the following ways:

  1. Follow me on Facebook and Twitter and retweet or re-share any post you believe God can use in the lives of the people who follow you!
  2. “Like” or “Favorite” a post on Facebook or Twitter. This causes the post to appear more readily in news feeds.
  3. If a story brings up something in your mind or heart, comment at the bottom of a post! I love hearing from you, and then others can be encouraged by your thoughts as well.
  4. If you have a story of God moving in your life or the lives of the people around you, I would love to tell your story on the blog. Shoot me an email at: Stephanie@millcitychurch.com

HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!

EXPECT GOD TO DO MORE THEN YOU COULD ASK OR IMAGINE THIS YEAR!

Peace,
Stephanie
